A school for Las VictoriasNestled in the mountains of north-central Guatemala is a Maya village known as Las Victorias. The families there needed to expand their primary school to help lift their children and future generations out of poverty. In San Pedro Puxtla, El Salvador, a steep rocky gully served as the only street for the marginalized Las Pilatas neighborhood. During the wet season, residents were disconnected from their town, making it extremely difficult to attend school, shop, or visit a clinic.
